Achievements: Founder of How-Fit Inc, NJ's Premier Personal Training Center Since 1990. Howard and his team have help thousands of people over the past 17 years with over 150,.000 successful workouts performed. Howard has worked with many professional athletes and had trained Shannon Briggs for his Olympic and pro heavy weight boxing career.

In 1999, Howard Developed NRG BALL training, a patented system of movement and therapy using his device called the NRG BALL (www.nrgball.com) . Professional athletes, chiropractors, Physical therapists and athletic trainers worldwide use Howard’s Training Systems. Also, Howard teamed up with Paul Chek in 2001 to create the ultimate educational and workout videos incorporating the NRG BALL SYSTEM as the main component for each workout. Since its inception both Howard and Paul have sold thousands of these workout videos to educate both the professional and public sector on Howard and Paul's Methods of training.

After the NRG BALL had reached many of the trainers in the club environment, NYC's premier Equinox Fitness clubs thought this would be a great program and launched NRG BLAST, developed by Howard Panes and Alastair Greer, this was a High Intensity Group Training Class and Clinic.

Howard was also the Fitness Editor for NJ Goodlife magazine, and has written articles for Dr. Koop and Web MD. Howard’s fitness methods have been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN worldwide. Howard has also lectured at Fordham and Rutgers Universities on business and entrepreneurship.

In 2004 Howard founded www.doogen.com, a vertical market health and fitness search engine that get 250,000-300,000 searches per week. Now 2007, there is a social network explosion with youtube.com, myspace, facebook and many other sites connecting people. Howard saw the need for that connection in the health club market and developed www.friendsworkout.com, a social network for people to connect, exercise, share ideas and motivation.

As he continues to motivate his clients on a daily basis, he is always looking for ways to help people improve their quality of life.

Carolyn Mastrangelo

Carolyn enjoys working with motivated clients who are committed to making positive changes in their lives.
Her ideal client is someone who truly wants to make those changes, but needs the guidance and motivation that a personal trainer will provide.
Carolyn left the corporate world because she did not feel passion for that job. She feels passion for the fitness industry and – more importantly – for helping people reach their goals.

Roman J. Petrocelli, CPT, NLC II

Roman has been training a diverse range of clients since 1999. He holds a National Academy of Sports Medicine certification in Personal Training, and is a certified CHEK Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach, Level II.

He received his A.S. from the County College of Morris, and has attended various fitness seminars covering Corrective Exercise Therapy.

Roman is an avid auto racing fan, enjoys Yoga and getting in touch with nature. He believes that anyone can accomplish their fitness goals, no matter what their current level of fitness is.
